What Is the Limit on Attachment Size When Forwarding Emails? Print

The email forwarding limit depends on several factors:

  • Default Server Limit: 25 MB per message
  • Webmail Clients: May reject attachments over 20 MB
  • Receiving Server: Gmail, Yahoo, etc., may also limit forwarded attachments

Recommendation: For large files, use cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive or Dropbox) and send the link via email.
