What is ModSecurity and How to Use It Print

ModSecurity is a powerful web application firewall (WAF) built into your Aviumshost hosting. It protects your site by blocking suspicious activity and known attack patterns.

What ModSecurity Helps With:

  • Blocks common web attacks like SQL injection, XSS, and bad bots
  • Filters malicious requests in real-time
  • Provides detailed logs of blocked attempts

To Enable or Disable ModSecurity in cPanel:

  1. Login to cPanel.
  2. Click on ModSecurity under the Security section.
  3. Use the toggle switch to enable/disable protection per domain.

We recommend keeping ModSecurity enabled at all times for best protection. If a legitimate request is being blocked, you can temporarily disable it or contact support for a custom rule exemption.
